What is a chemical peel?

Chemical peels are a form of advanced exfoliation that utilizes a chemical solution to help increase cell turnover. By increasing cell turnover, chemical peels are successful at treating hyperpigmentation, fine lines, acne scarring, and sun damage.

This service is best performed in 6-8 sessions. Peels are tailored to your skin's needs and are assessed after a consultation.

How do I know if I am a good candidate for peels?

If you are unsure if you are a good candidate or not, either book a consultation or feel free to ask at your next appointment! In order to do a chemical peel, your skin barrier must be healthy, and you must not have any contraindications.

How long does it take to see results?

Chemical peels leave you with an instant glow post-treatment. 2-5 days after the service is complete, your skin will begin to flake or peel. After 7-14 days, you will be done peeling and will look brighter and smoother.

What is the recommended frequency?

For chemical peels, we recommend clients return every 3-4 weeks for around 6-8 sessions. Chemical peels see the best results when done consistently.

What does aftercare look like?

Clients who receive a chemical peel must follow strict aftercare instructions, including no exfoliation, limited sun exposure, moisturizing and sunscreen application, and no picking at the skin. Failure to follow aftercare instructions may result in hyperpigmentation, sensitivity, and irritation - listening to your esthetician is non-negotiable for best results!
